Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Engineer at geCKo Materials, you will work with the engineering team to develop strategies and create solutions leading to optimization of current manufacturing processes and meet end-user needs.

Ideate and prototype hardware solutions, to include manufacturing optimization needs as well as experimental and demonstration devices to test our technology

Develop new application methods and processes to launch multiple lines of products

Work directly with customers to troubleshoot and refine product applications

Conduct thorough research and record data in an organized and concise manner

Work with sales and business development personnel to strategize product deployments and ensure customer deliverables are accomplished in a timely manner

Document all findings and work progress to periodically present to the team and our stakeholders

Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge

Team player

Strong desire to work in manufacturing

Passionate about designing and developing hardware solutions

Experience with prototyping from ideation to design realization

Experience with various prototyping and shop tools (3D printer, laser cutter, soldering iron, etc.)

CAD (preferably Fusion360)

Excellent research and analytical skills

Pronounced interest in materials research and experimentation

Proficiency in technical writing and compiling report documents and SOP manuals
-
Desire to assume ownership of engineering projects as assigned, and present findings to the team

Optimization and efficiency in accordance with GMP

Organizational skills with meticulous attention

Ability and willingness to learn new skills

Typical Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering related discipline and 3 years of related experience or Master's Degree with 2 years of related experience.
