Lead Engineer

 

Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing, machining and designing in CAD. 

  • Provide daily direct manufacturing support to troubleshoot and resolve issues and document solutions following GMP.

  • Work directly with the Head of Manufacturing and Manufacturing Operator and if needed work on the assembly line to meet high customer demands.

  • Implement, write protocols, maintain methods, sequence of events, and validated processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, and final assemblies.

  • Interface with the executive team in coordinating the release of new products. Provide recommendations on design and manufacturing procedures for new products and tooling.

  • Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.

  • Define and implement continuous process improvements to existing manufacturing operations.

  • Identify the root cause of manufacturing related issues and perform corrective and preventive action using established problem solving methods.

  • Perform evaluation and disposition of non-conforming materials. Participate in technical support and recommendations discussions.

  • Maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

  • Utilize good time management skills for on-time delivery of assignments.

  • Manage small improvement projects as assigned.

  • Organize and conduct cross-functional sub-team meetings and present updates at all community company meetings.
     

Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Good working knowledge of machined parts, assemblies, and complex large scale equipment manufacturing.

  • Proficient in creating, reviewing, and editing of relevant technical documents.

  • Proficient in employing the latest industry techniques and practices.

  • Familiar with the latest available tools or standards used in the industry to complete task(s) specifically CNC, compression molding, and traditional manufacturing tools.

  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with CAD software
     

Typical Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering related discipline and 4 years of related experience or Master's Degree with 3 years of related experience.
