Engineering Technician


This person will be assisting the lead engineer, working the assembly line as well as manufacturing the molds. The lead engineer could be one in the same person or slightly different roles depending on how qualified they are.


geCKo Materials is looking for individuals with an attention to detail. This role requires a small amount of upper arm strength as you will be lifting molds that are up to 15 lbs. You will be operating a compression mold machine and be on your feet most of the operating time.

On the manufacturing team, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Manufacturing and machining and designing in CAD. 

  • Troubleshooting, deploying, configuring, documenting, monitoring, supporting, developing, reporting, capacity planning and training other manufacturing assembly line workers.

  • Demonstrates safe work behaviors to avoid injury to self and others.

  • Set up operating procedures and customer specifications to produce quality products which are delivered to customers on time.

  • Works effectively with an engineering, executive, and manufacturing team, and collaborates with others.

  • Contributes to continuous improvement and problem solving.

  • Uses hand tools, compression mold machines, small industrial equipment.

  • Uses CAD or equivalent software.

Your Skills and Expertise / Key qualifications 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, geCKo Materials is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Possess a college degree of BA/BS or higher completed and verified prior to starting from an accredited institution.

  • Knows how to operate a CNC

  • Proficient in CAD or equivalent software

  • Design experience is preferred

  • Mechanical engineer or similar prior experience is also prefer but will consider new college graduate applications

  • Starting salary for the role at this location is $60-85k per year plus benefits.
